Battery Jumpstart and Replacement in Al Yasmin

Half past nine on a residential street off Anas Ibn Malik Road. The children are in bed, tomorrow's school run starts at half six, and the car outside the gate does nothing when you press the start button. That is the message we get most often from Al Yasmin, and evening is when we do most of our work here — the family car is finally standing still, the internal streets have emptied, and we can set up without blocking a neighbour.

Short trips are the reason. Starting an engine takes a big slug of current, and the alternator needs a sustained run to put it back. Two school runs of six minutes each, with the air conditioning, the blower and the lights all drawing, never return what the starter took out.
