Mobile Periodic Maintenance in Riyadh
The scheduled service your car is due, done in your own parking space. Multi-point inspection, fluids, filters, brakes and a diagnostics scan, with a written record.
Periodic maintenance is the visit you plan, not the one you make in a panic on the hard shoulder. It exists to find wear before it becomes a breakdown: brake pads down to their last few millimetres, a battery that will not survive August, coolant that has lost its corrosion inhibitor, a belt with cracks across the ribs. We bring that whole inspection to your address and book it for a time that suits you, so nobody spends a morning in a waiting area.
The visit is structured, not a quick look around. We work through a fixed multi-point list, measure rather than eyeball whatever can be measured, and scan every control module for stored and pending fault codes. Anything found goes into one of three groups: needs doing now for safety, worth doing on this visit while the wheels are already off, and monitor until next time. You decide what happens, with a clear picture in front of you.
What a periodic service visit covers
A service visit here follows the same order every time. Wheels off, brake pad and disc thickness measured, calipers and hoses checked, tyres inspected for age, wear pattern and pressure. Then the fluids: engine oil and filter, coolant strength and level, brake fluid moisture content, power steering, and gearbox oil condition where it can be checked. Then filters, belts, a battery load test, cooling fans, lights and wipers. Then the diagnostics scan, and a road test to confirm nothing has changed for the worse.
What cannot be done on a driveway, we say plainly. Timing belt renewal, gearbox oil service on some sealed units, injector work, and anything needing a lift and a torque table over a pit belongs in a workshop. The value of the visit is that you learn about it now, with a measurement written next to it, rather than at the point of failure. Everything we complete is recorded with date and mileage, so the car has a maintenance history you can actually show a buyer.
Signs your car is due a service
- The service reminder or spanner symbol has appeared in the instrument cluster
- More than a year has passed, or you do not know what was done last time
- The engine feels flat pulling away and fuel consumption has crept up
- A squeal from the belt area for the first few seconds after a cold start
- The brakes need more pedal than they used to, or scrape lightly at low speed
- The air conditioning takes longer to cool the cabin than it did last summer
- The car struggles to start after standing two or three days in the heat
- You are about to drive out of Riyadh on a long trip and want it checked first
The multi-point service, itemised
- Engine oil and oil filter change to the correct grade, approval and quantity
- Air filter and cabin filter replacement, with airbox and housing cleared of dust
- Brake pad and disc measurement on all four corners, with the readings written down
- Tyre tread depth, age code, pressure and wear pattern checked, including the spare
- Battery load test, terminal clean, and charging system output check
- Coolant strength and level check, with hose and radiator inspection for leaks
- Belt, pulley and auxiliary drive inspection, plus fluid top-ups where needed
- Full diagnostics scan of every module for stored and pending fault codes
- Road test, service reset, and a written report on what to plan for next
Why the standard service schedule does not fit Riyadh
Most service schedules were written for cars that cover steady distances in mild weather. A Riyadh car does something else. It sits on hot tarmac all day, gets started and idled with the air conditioning at full load, crawls in traffic on King Fahd Road, and breathes dust every kilometre. That combination is what manufacturers themselves call severe service, and under severe service the oil, the filters, the coolant and the brake fluid all reach the end of their useful life earlier than the mileage figure in the book.
It also changes which items matter most. In this climate the battery, the cooling system and the air conditioning are what actually strand people, so we weight the inspection towards them: the battery load tested rather than just voltage checked, the radiator core cleared of sand, fan operation confirmed at temperature, condenser fins inspected. Brake fluid gets a moisture test too, because water in the fluid drops its boiling point, and long descents off flyovers in summer heat are exactly where that shows up.
Transparent pricing — agreed before we start
A service is quoted as a package once we know the car and what it needs: model, year, engine, mileage and which items are due. Tell us that on the phone or on WhatsApp and you will have a figure before we come out, covering parts, labour and the callout to your address. If the inspection uncovers something extra, a worn pad set or a battery that fails its load test, that is quoted separately as its own line and you choose whether it happens today.
The agreed price applies to servicing exactly as it does to a breakdown. You approve the package, the technician does the work in front of you, and you read the report at the end. Nothing is replaced without a yes, and nothing is added to the bill after the event — cash, card or bank transfer all work at the car. If we recommend a workshop job we are not doing ourselves, we explain what it involves and you are not charged for the advice.

Learn morePeriodic Maintenance — questions we get
Most of it, yes. We carry jacks, stands, torque wrenches, a brake measuring gauge, a battery load tester and a diagnostics scanner, and we work in villa driveways, compound bays and basement car parks all over Riyadh. What needs a two-post lift, a press or a pit, such as timing belts, some gearbox services and exhaust work, we identify and tell you about rather than attempt on the floor.
Plan on two to three hours for a full multi-point service with oil, filters, brake measurements and a diagnostics scan. A smaller interim service is closer to an hour. We would rather book a realistic window than rush the inspection, because the inspection is the part that saves you money. You do not need to be present the whole time, only at the start and the end.
Around 10 minutes for most addresses if you need us urgently, but servicing is normally booked. Pick a slot, early morning, during your working day at the office, or late evening when it is cooler, and we arrive at that time. We work 24 hours, seven days a week, including Fridays, Ramadan and Eid, so nights and weekends are ordinary working hours for us.
A warranty claim looks at whether the parts and oil met the manufacturer's specification and whether the work was recorded. We fit specification-correct oil and filters and give you a written record with date, mileage and part details. We are an independent mobile service, not a dealer or an authorised agent, so if your car is on a specific dealer warranty programme, check its terms first.
An oil change is oil, an oil filter and a quick look around. A periodic service is the whole schedule: brakes measured, tyres assessed, battery load tested, coolant and brake fluid checked, belts inspected, filters replaced, every module scanned, and a report on what is coming. If the last service was a long time ago, the inspection is worth more to you than the oil.
No. We separate findings into what is unsafe to leave, what is sensible to do while we are here with the wheels off, and what can wait until next time. Each one is quoted separately and you approve or decline it. Plenty of customers take the safety items now and plan the rest, and that is a perfectly reasonable way to run a car.
Treat this climate as severe service. For most cars that means a full periodic service once a year or every ten thousand kilometres, whichever comes first, with an oil and filter change in between if you cover higher mileage. Cars used for short trips, heavy idling or long summer drives out of the city need the shorter interval, not the longer one.
Yes. Company car parks and compound parking suit us well, because the cars are already together and nothing has to be moved. We work through them one at a time, keep a record per vehicle so the mileage and interval history stays clean, and can schedule the visits at night or over a weekend so nothing interrupts the working day.
